Going squirrely!!

We love watching the squirrels jump on this Kob (sunflower seeds, peanuts and corn) and bounce up and down on the bungee cord to which it's attached.  This particular squirrel, as you see, jumps down from the Kob and immediately jumps on our St. Francis of Assisi statue to eat his rewards. But not just the squirrels enjoy the Kob!  The birds love it too as you can see from the below video on which a wren is pecking and eating.

Cardinals! Cardinals! Cardinals!

With the appearance of some cooler weather, cardinals are beginning to visit our backyard more frequently.  They don't hang around long and generally prefer to feed off the ground so I was excited to catch this male cardinal feeding on this feeder.  This feeder was made with a perch attached to a 7up bottle.  All the birds love this feeder!  Just shows to prove you don't necessarily need an expensive feeder to attract our feathered friends!
